Hello, my name is Thomas Harrington, and I have spent many years guiding visitors through some of England's most remarkable places. Of all the tours I recommend to travellers visiting London, one experience consistently stands out: a Stonehenge tour from London.
I have made this journey hundreds of times, yet Stonehenge never loses its sense of mystery. Every visit feels slightly different, and every group of travellers reacts in their own way when they first see the ancient stones rising from the landscape.

Most tours begin early in the morning in central London. The city is still waking up when we depart, leaving behind Westminster, the River Thames and the historic streets that define the British capital.
As we drive west out of London, the scenery begins to change. The city slowly fades away and is replaced by the peaceful English countryside - rolling green fields, quiet villages and winding country roads.
This part of the journey is something many visitors truly enjoy. England's countryside offers a calm beauty that contrasts perfectly with the energy of London.
During the journey I like to explain the history of Stonehenge, because understanding its story makes the moment of arrival even more powerful.
